QQuestions

About the toolkit.

Which calculators are here?

25 calculators in six groups: returns and compounding (SIP, step up SIP, lumpsum, lump sum vs SIP, CAGR, XIRR, rule of 72), costs and fees, risk and drawdown, rebalancing and allocation, tax, and goal planning (goal, retirement, FIRE, emergency fund, real return, inflation). Every module also has its own worked calculator.

Are the calculators free, and is anything stored?

Free, with no sign up. Your numbers stay in your browser; the only place they go is the page address, so a result can be shared as a link.

How are SIP returns calculated here?

A yearly return is turned into the compound monthly rate (1 + r)^(1/12) - 1 and instalments are paid at month end. Some calculators divide the yearly rate by 12 and pay at the start of the month, which gives a higher number; each page states its convention.

Do the calculators predict returns?

No. They show what a return you choose would do. Reference figures are labelled with their source and date; RupeeCase figures are model, back tested. Past or back tested returns are not a promise of future returns.

Education only, not investment advice. RupeeCase is a technology platform operated by QC Alpha Technologies Pvt Ltd; it is not a fund, a PMS or a SEBI registered investment adviser. Model returns are back tested and not a promise of future returns. Figures carry the date they were checked.
