#### Why 5Paisa Focused Alpha 5

              The dashboard on sample data
Most diversified portfolios water down their best ideas. This card goes the other way. It runs the Nifty Alpha 50 (the 50 stocks in the broader Nifty universe with the highest alpha vs Nifty 500 over the trailing year) through a momentum filter and holds only the top 5 names. Every three weeks the screen re-runs and the portfolio rotates into whatever the model says is the strongest set of bets for the next cycle.

Concentration is the whole design. Five names means every position pulls real weight. A right call moves the portfolio instead of drowning among fifty others, and a stale one gets rotated out at the next screen. Nothing on this card hides.

The portfolio swings hard. Five stocks cannot smooth each other the way fifty can, so weekly moves run well past what an index investor is used to, in both directions. Drawdowns on this card cut deeper than the Nifty 50's. If you cannot watch a meaningful slice of your stake disappear on paper and stay invested, this is the wrong card on the lineup.

What you get for sitting through the swings is asymmetry. Momentum concentrated into its strongest expressions tends to win bigger than it loses, and that gap is what compounds. The card does not try to be right every week. It tries to be positioned where being right pays the most.

The card buys only stocks priced under 10000. It rebalances every 3 weeks regardless of regime. It holds 5 names equal-weight. No fixed-income buffer. No gold sleeve. No defensive overlay. Pure momentum on a momentum-pre-screened universe.

The three-week cadence keeps the portfolio pointed at whatever the screen currently rates strongest, and the roster turns over as regimes shift. The card does not have favourite stocks. It has a favourite signal.

This is not a starter portfolio. If this is your first systematic card, start with Nifty 50 Equal Weight and graduate to this one once you have lived through a real drawdown on a less aggressive product. This is also not a tax-friendly card if you trade it in a non-registered account. Three-week rebalances on 5 names mean churn, and churn means short-term capital gains.

##### Key takeaways

* The most concentrated card on the lineup: 5 names, nothing else
* Momentum squared: top 5 picks from an already momentum-screened index
* Three-week rotation keeps the portfolio pointed at the strongest signal
* The trade-off: five-stock concentration swings hard in both directions

A description of the strategy, not a recommendation. Decide your own allocation, or ask a SEBI registered investment adviser.

#### Who it is written for

Written forAggressive investors with a long horizon and tolerance for sharp drawdowns
CapitalAbout ₹22,000, one share of every holding at recent prices. More capital buys more of each holding and tracks the model weights more closely.

#### How the rule was built

Machine learning is used in research to search and optimise the model behind each strategy: which signals rank the universe, how many names to hold and how often to rebalance, tested out of sample. The rule that ships is then frozen and published, so the live strategy is a fixed, readable algorithm, not a black box that changes on its own.
